This newest expansion doesn’t really do anything to the basic game. If you leave your Sim sitting at home, things play out pretty much as they’ve always done. But if you take your Sim on a vacation, suddenly the old familiar skill grind and work-eat-sleep dynamic is replaced by a simple yet innovative tomb-exploration mode, where you have to guide your Sim through ancient ruins to collect treasure that can be kept, sold, or traded for unique in-game advantages.
