Those who have been with the Sims community for some time may be familiar with VRevis. She was one of the talented individuals who attended The Sims 3 Creator’s Camp back in January. Well, you may not be familiar with the fact that she has spent 7 months dealing with EA Tech Support trying to get her account straightened out. To sum up her problems she bought the game back in June with the other Creator Camp attendees. Everyone who attended was able to use their existing accounts – which were all featured artists – except Val. Honest mistake, right? You’d think so…But apparently solving tech problems isn’t EA’s strong points…because after 7 months of frustration she still is having issues. If I read correctly, I do think they finally set up another account for her – except for the fact that she is still missing some of her work and the featured artist tag…
I can’t really say much more about the subject without going off into flames and bashing EA myself, so I’ll stay quiet and let VRevis do the talking. You can read more about her experience on the subject either at Reclaim your Game or from her blog, A Cuppa Joe.

Thanks, Jud! Yes, they did set up a second account for me, but the guy who did it, Joe G., is nowhere to be found. He was in the process of transferring over my files, and apparently whoever took over has no idea what to do because “NewVRevis”, my new account, has nothing in my media studio. I’ve been banging my head on the wall for months, now! I cannot figure out how the account could have been broken beyond repair, why nobody thought to tell me, and they just let me sweat it out, wondering when I was going to be featured with the rest of the campers, and how NOBODY is able to put it back together. This should not be taking this long.
And, surprise, no reply yet on my last request for an update.
Wow. That is horrible! My sympathies to you.
Doesn’t surprise me… I’ve read about people who have had their Store Accounts lost and EA refuse to refund the points (or money) that they had on them!
Well, just asked once again for someone to update me on the situation. The ticket is two and a half weeks old, and not one word from EA. And still no WA game. I sent them the link to my blog entry, which contains links to both this article and the one on Reclaim Your Game.
Very very frustrated, now.
