Wow, I am digging this, never heard of her work before but her music is pretty good.ย I don’t know much about the song other than the fact that I read it was sung in spanish.ย Either way, it sounds Simlish to me! ๐

WOW that’s great and very funny video ๐ I really like it
From a machinima standpoint that was very well done. Thanks for posting.
Hadn’t you heard about Nelly Furtado before she sang for 1st expansion? omg, I know about her from over 5 years! xD ..and her music is f a n t a s t i c!
Go Nelly!
I still remember when “I’m Like a Bird” was popular everywhere, she has nice songs, I enjoy the ones she sings in Portuguese too.
And that video is amazingly well done! The stills resembling movie posters are awesome! I can’t wait for that new expansion… And they can meditate like “Bon Voyage” which is another plus!
He, he ๐
Yeah, I don’t listen to mainstream music – mostly oldies and some country.
Ah, I understand ๐ But you know now that he has amazing voice ๐
J, she really never sang in Portuguese out of that I know of, maybe a few words or one song, but that’s it (her song “Forรงa” from her sophomore album is a Portuguese title but was not a full Portuguese song). You are probably confused by her Spanish songs, which she has way more of than in Portuguese and are way more popular. She has a couple of Spanish tracks in her third album “Loose” and now this song being Simlished is from her first Spanish-language album that was released this fall. However, she is Portuguese, so I can see why people would get confused. Portuguese sounds a lot like Spanish and even looks like it, too, but is still very distinct. After all, Portugal is indeed next to Spain. Why Spanish songs and not Portuguese songs since she is Portuguese? That’s because Latin music is way more popular and marketable and she would actually rise to fame with Spanish songs, which she actually is. That is why she ended up having a Spanish album because of her previous successful efforts in the Latin music world. I do agree with you, though, she has a great voice. But she is too pop for me. I prefer her deeper and folky style like in her earlier albums.
Wonderfull video, crap song.
@ frankie
He he, she has at least 1 song recorded completely in Portuguese from her first album “Whoa, Nelly!”, the song being called “Onde Estรกs”. The album I mostly enjoy is “Folklore”, her second album.
Besides being Portuguese I’m also a music lover and know a some about it, he he!

Well, I did say at least one song in Portuguese and I didn’t even know about that one since I nevder really heard that album completely. But my point was that she sings more in Spanish than she does in Portuguese for obvious reasons. And she has a very good pronunciation for not being a native of the language. You know, as much as I think “Loose” is very mainstream more hip hop that anything, let’s face it, it is her biggest-selling album to date and she scored about 7 singles or so from it, which is quite a lot for an album. As much as some of her old fans may have not liked that style because of the drastic change, Nelly would not be as huge as she’s become if it had not been for that album. That album blew her up and rose her to super stardom, not to mention how many damn times some of those singles were played over the radio. But it is nice to have a familiar singer on the Sims music artist roster, because aside from Nelly, Leann Rimes, and Fefe Dobson, I have never even heard of the rest. I wish Tori Amos could do a song but I highly doubt that will ever happen. ๐
