Caught a thread earlier this morning at the official Sims 3 UK board of a post about EA’s second expansion pack which a user “tries” to convince it’s real:  The Sims 3 Wild Landscapes.  Before it gets way out of hand, it should be noted it’s a completely made up expansion and has no truth to it what-so-ever.  While the user was crafty enough to come up with some interesting details that…well for the most part, we’d all like to see…it’s just not possible that EA would release any info about their second expansion project at this time.

Not to mention, many reasons are given why it is confirmed fake:

  1. I found through a google search the origin of this joke, thru a YouTube comment (see pic)
  2. The Sims 3 Wild Landscapes - fake fake fake

  3. The logo is extremely poor, with the first half being covered by the “S” in Sims.
  4. In general, for upcoming Sim games, EA sends out a listing of the name first to retailers to put in their systems.  No information other than that is given.  Way too much information and way too early.
  5. The 1st expansion hasn’t even gone gold yet (any day now, actually)!

If you want a good laugh, check out the original post here…and the “made up” details:
