What’s next for Maxis? How about ‘Spore in 2D’?

One picture I picked up right from the Spore Hero Day event is MaxisLucky aka Caryl Shaw demonstrating what appears to be one of Maxis’ newest projects, Spore Creature Creator in 2D.  After viewing the image, I tried accessing the site http://www.spore2d.com/ with no luck – so as of now, it’s probably only accessible via the Maxis Staff.  It also can’t be reached via the url in the address bar (either http://syrah.spore.rws.ad.ea.com/ or http://syrah.spore.nws.ad.ea.com/)

I’d expect this to pop up as a future SporeDay post, so keep tuned to this site or the official Spore.com website 🙂  Catch a huge shot of it below:

I’ve grown up on 2D games…Wish more games would consider using 2D.  Looking forward to checking this out when it is made available!
