I can’t go into much detail with the creative options and story mode as I don’t play a lot with them features. I like to get straight into the racing! Story mode introduces you slowly into the game, as it unlocks the tracks and championships over time. Each character has a small “challenge” for you to complete, for example, collect some pizzas around a track. There is a small or significant reward for your completion. As you keep moving around the town, some sims may require your help around. This is a review, right? So, I must comment on this feature. Story mode is a great introduction into the game, as you start from easier challenges to harder ones. A first time player may see this as essential to learn the controls and practice. MySims Racing is effectively a kid-friendly version of The Sims. It’s much simpler in storyline and controls. And it is, but the difference is, the core element of The Sims is removed: virtual life. MySims is a much more unrealistic experience with cartoonish characters. I must agree with IGN’s review of the game, in that, MySims is a more of a spin-off.
It’s not too late to pick up a copy of MySims Racing if you haven’t already. However, make a note that when MySims Agents comes out, it may get a price drop. Finish reading the rest of the review over at SimOperations!
