8/26/09 – 1UP’s Spore Hero preview for the Wii

A paragraph from a new Spore Hero review over at 1Up.com

And it’s important that you have control over your creature, because battling is a big part of Hero. When you face off against other evil creatures in the world, sometimes the only way to get them to listen is with your claws (and teeth, poison shooters, horns, etc.). The multiplayer in the game operates similarly: you and a friend can square off in a small arena against one another, using either creatures you’ve created yourself, or some premade powerhouses. The controls amount to little more than waggling your controller and smashing buttons, but with practice you can learn to anticipate your friend’s moves and see if strategy can overtake brute force.
