This month has been horrible with all of the celebrity deaths. David Carradine, Farah Fawcett, Michael Jackson. Now one more has been captured by the Grim Reaper – infomercial spokesman Billy Mays. No cause of his death yet but we’re led to believe he may of suffered a head injury from his flight home the previous night. His plane’s tire blew while landing, and luggage fell down on top of his head. However, he was quoted that he ‘had a hard head’ and was in fact, okay.
Either way, this guy was one of my favorite people to watch during commercials. In honor, I decided to create a Sim in his name. Hopefully you’ll add him to your game.
What’s odd about this is that during April Fools, I pulled a gag in which Billy Mays was promoting The Sims 3… You know in light-hearted fun, I hope they put on his tombstone: “BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!”. It would be a nice touch.

This has just been a horrible month for celebrity deaths. We’ve had two shocking ones in the last 5 days. Farrah Fawcett was sick so that one wasn’t too shocking, nor was Ed McMahon. But to lose Michael Jackson and Billy Mays seemingly out of no where like that is really shocking.

One question about custom shirts if you don’t mind. If you share a Sim on the exchange that has a custom shirt, is the texture packed with the Sim so whoever downloads the Sim will see the new shirt, or does the shirt default to one of the premade ones if the person doesn’t have the texture?
Since I never use the exchange I couldn’t really tell you. I’ve heard any custom shirts that get uploaded to the exchange are immediately taken down by EA so I’d imagine any Sim using a custom shirt would have a very short life expectancy if it was packaged with the Sim. But if they didn’t have the texture installed they revert back to the default shirts or at least that’s what’s happened any time I’ve deleted my shirts from the game to do fine tuning.
