While you are making your way around the tracks in My Sims Racing you will have the distinct feeling you have played this game before. Fortunately the racing aspects are only half of the game.

The other half is a series of car based missions, including: go and fetch missions, time trials, and crazy taxi style delivery missions. These side quests, are the way you make money called essence coins. The coins are used to upgrade your vehicle. There are six different coins, half are used to upgrade the aesthetics of your car, (adding horns, bunny ears, cd spinner rims, or rocket boosters) the other is performance upgrades to get a better engine, body frame, and shocks.

The missions are all pretty quick – the longest one may take you two or three minutes – but takes you around Speedville including trips to the Speedvilles forest, and beach. These missions again are nothing new, collecting mushrooms under a time limit for a pizza chef, collecting pages of goth poetry for a goth kid, or driving an arborist to the forest.
