All our parents have asked us this question, and you should be ready for it again when playing Sims 3. Players aren’t just living a mundane day-to-day life that goes on perpetually, but instead are working with a character who ages and dies. So to make their lives as interesting as possible, players are constantly working (or not) towards the Lifetime Wishes for their characters. For instance the sim we watched wanted to be a Master Thief, so it presented the player with a choice to help them do smaller actions to work towards this devious goal, or to ignore it and make their sim more miserable with their life. And don’t worry — if you create a character with traits you end up hating, eventually you can work towards a “mid-life crisis,” which will allow you to reset your character’s traits.
