Alex of Super Sims 3 dropped a comment earlier of a picture that contains a few of the objects that will be offered at the Sims 3 Store. While it’s true that we’ll be getting free points in the Collector’s Edition, I think I’m going to save them for something more useful then a livingroom set.

Thanks Rens, I didn’t get a chance to explore the Store last night, and the email came thru before I did 🙂
I didn’t hear about free points in the collector’s edition…way ta’ go me…
will those points expire? I wouldn’t spend it on that furniture either….unless it’s like SUPER furniture that helps with everything…..but aesthetically it’s not pleasing…
How many points do we get if we get the collectors?
$10 worth…1000 simpoints I think
oh wait nevermind!
it’s $10
😀
The Sims Stores are rip offs!! $10 will get you 1000, which will by you 10 average objects! That’s $1 per armchair, or dining chair, etc. To buy the complete set shown would cost most of your $10 ‘gift’.
A Stuff Pack of 60-80 objects costs £10 here in the UK, on the store it would cost about 6,000 – 8,000 points which is $60 – $80… RIP OFF This is about £40 – £52. That’s more than the base game!
An Expansion pack of 110 – 130 objects costs £200 here in the UK, on the store it would cost about 11,000 – 13,000 points which is $110 – $130… RIP OFF This is about £70 – £85. That’s more double the base game price!
Also bear in mind that any objects with new animations can cost 200-300 points. So the total cost would be a lot more.
I won’t be getting the Sims 3 until after the first EP as if they don’t put ALL the store objects upto that point in it, I’m not getting The Sims 3 at all.
The Sims Store = Rip Off!!! Spread the word.
Oh I agree – no doubt about it. However, in today’s time with Down-loadable Content (DLC for short) is becoming more and more common, with folks eagerly willingly to pay for it. If you’re a hardcore gamer, then you’re probably already used to the process. It’s now becoming more mainstream and hitting the casual gamers and they’re the ones who have a dislike for this. Isn’t much we can do other than not purchase it – it’s not going away I’m afraid, no matter how hard we protest 🙁
