For all of the naysayers out there, the following information should lead you to finally believe that the first “stuff pack” for Spore will indeed be available November 18th and is titled “Spore: Creepy & Cute Parts Pack“. The EA Store has updated with a preorder for the upcoming pack as well as a boxart (probably temporary):
I wonder why they changed the name around…
Ugh, pass. If it looks worthwhile I might grab it down the line but having just moved my money is tight and I already have it spent for November. They need to drop the price to about $10 since it’s not like a Sims 2 stuff pack. All we’ll be getting is some body parts and maybe the editors that were disabled which to be honest creating trees doesn’t sound like that much fun. When’s the second one coming out February? Given EA’s track record that wouldn’t surprise me.
I wouldn’t put up that big of a deal if it was $10, I could see that to be alright with me. But $20 is pushing it, especially since the gaming market is going to be flooded with tons of great games. I plan to buy GTA4 for PC when it comes out, and I have Dead Space to look forward to. Not to mention Left 4 Dead which I might check out as well.
One main problem is compatibility. If some people decide not to get this pack, then will they be able to download creatures made with it? EA haven’t thought this through much. & if they can download the creatures then the new objects are in the game already, so all it would take is one person + freedom on cheat + all new objects = non-buyers getting their hands on the new objects.
Good point. I wonder how that will work. Would suck if it was that way.
