Today’s Spore Day features a new prototype called Tide Pool.
Tide Pool represents our first steps down the path toward synthesizing our ideas into a playable game.
Tide Pool set the stage for the later, more recognizably Spore-like prototypes SPUG and GonzagoGL.
Tide Pool combines a forest fire simulator from BIOME with the terrain and water simulation from WaterBoy and the flocking system from Crowd in a fire fighting mini game.
You can grab the prototype from the official site.
Mac users, if you are still using the Creature Creator, then you should now be able to update your game. The official Spore site made this announcement and when you start the game, it should prompt you to update. Follow the directions and your game will receive its patch.
I have a mac and I downloaded Tidepool and i would like to know how to start it up.
I don’t think TidePool is meant to be used on the Mac. Of course, I could be wrong as I have absolutely zero knowledge on Macs. Ummmm…. Guessing out of the blue here, perhaps you can use it in some sort of Windows emulator program…
