I love Nintendo, and now I love them even more!
I had plans to create a voicebox for my Hazzard County Cop Car to make it even more unique. I wanted to give it a voice to make it sound like Rosco P. Coltrane (James Best) was in the car speaking out of the PA. I had plans written up on how to build a box and all of the electronic pieces to purchase to make one.
Luckily, when I was playing my Nintendo DS one day with headphones, a crazy idea hit me. Why not use the DS as the voicebox?! I already had a Max Media Player with some Homebrew Apps on it. All I needed was a perfect app that could handle MP3 files. Lucky for me, Infinite Paralyzer (creator of Moonshell) released DSMPlay.
So I created a speaker wire that attached to the Headphone jack and attached to the back of my Siren Box. Low and behold, I’ve now got his voice coming out of the siren speaker, just what I wanted! Can’t wait to go to the car show so I can play “kew, kew, kew, you dipstick!”
