Project Rene was officially announced in October 2022.
Originally pitched as the working title for the next generation of The Sims franchise, the project was confirmed as a mobile-first multiplayer game in 2026.
Whilst the game is in early development, EA/Maxis are regularly sharing updates of the development process and features they are working on as the foundation for the next game.
