About BeyondSims

BeyondSims was launched on the 18th August 2000 and is a UK-based fansite for The Sims, SimCity and occasionally other simulation titles. We strive to deliver the latest news, exclusive previews and unique content, making us your #1 stop! We also offer a large directory of tutorials for all Sims games, SimCity games and Spore. Not to forget our well-known collection of downloads and community links to other great websites.

BeyondSims also co-founded the Simmers Meetup with Rachybop and MaaikeSww. This was an annual event held in the UK where Simmers from all over the world come together for a fantastic day!

Today, we are an EA GameChanger and well known for our honest reviews, the latest news and exclusive previews for both PC and Mobile titles, and our video content.

Website History

BeyondSims was launched as SimPrograms in August 2000 after Jud, the site founder, returned from his first day in high school. The site was started to give people a helping hand and to share information to fellow programmers in The Sims community.

The site opened with a small list of programs and after 3 years that list grew to an enormous size and Jud made a few programs using Visual Basic.

In 2007, the site was moved over to WordPress which made updating the website easier and quicker, and in 2010 BeyondSims hit it’s 10 year anniversary!

On the 7th November 2012, ownership of the website was transferred to Dan, who had been an author on the site since early 2011, and SimPrograms was rebranded to BeyondSims a month later. This rebrand took the site in a new direction focusing on new content and providing high quality news.

Present day, BeyondSims continues to deliver the latest news, exclusive previews of upcoming games, reviews, video content and much more.

In Remembrance of Bryce

Bryce, known as The Black Scorpion/Bafendo within The Sims community, was a contributor to SimPrograms/BeyondSims and owned the site from Early 2012 until Late 2012. Bryce sadly passed away in March 2016 after bravely facing two types of cancer. We will always remember him for his friendly nature, passion, and dedication to The Sims and gaming community.
