EA Announces The Sims 3 Disney High School Musical!

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.—Grab your microphones and prepare to get musical, The Sims™ 3 Disney High School Musical Expansion Pack* is coming this holiday! The Maxis Label of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) today announced that The Sims 3 Disney High School Musical Expansion Pack for PC/Mac will launch worldwide November 2013. Packed full of fun for every theatre enthusiast, the latest offering from The Sims Studio introduces all-new activities, musical hits, dramatic dance moves and more, allowing players to transform their Sims’ worlds with the power of music as they play with life…and their favourite Disney stars.

For the first time in The Sims PC/Mac franchise, players can take their Sims onto the school stage, exploring a previously unreachable part of their world; the school rabbithole, as they audition, rehearse, and perform in their own musical, and host an awesome after-party once that’s done. Sims can also build skills in singing, dancing and audio visual technology by participating in a variety of shows. Whether taking the principle role, leading choreography, creating sets and props or programming intricate light shows, players will find an abundance of activities to keep them engaged throughout the school year.

Players games will be enhanced with the addition of a Simlish soundtrack recorded by Disney’s High School Musical cast. Hit songs such as “Breaking Free”, “Stick to the Status Quo” and “Humuhumunukunukuapua’a” will be in-game for players to sing along to as their own high school musicals come to life with The Sims 3. This is the first time The Sims Studio has collaborated to create an entire Simlish soundtrack for an expansion pack for The Sims franchise.

Players who pre-order* The Sims 3 Disney High School Musical Expansion Pack will receive the Limited Edition which includes the exclusive East High School community lot, a sleek replica of the Disney High School Musical set that can be placed in any world in The Sims 3. This all-new venue includes 12 brand new objects replicating décor found within the film franchise. In addition, players will also receive a digital download of High School Musical 3: Senior Year.
