Over 2 dozen patches? Interesting… Especially since there’s still a crap load of bugs.
For those who do not know me, I’m Graham Nardone, producer of almost all the expansions and accessories albums released for The Sims 3 to date. It’s a fantastic job in which I have to rub shoulders with teams very creative and full of talent to create some of the most amazing games. Also, I know you have allowed many of you, members of the community of The Sims 3, both in person and on the forums of the franchise. We are grateful for the passion and love that you show for The Sims and we make every effort not to betray your trust. As one of the many people working on The Sims 3, try to communicate with you frequently and respond to all your comments as I have time.
2012 has had an excellent start. The launch of The Sims 3 Dreamz introduced lots of innovative gameplay elements and for the first time in franchise The Sims 3, new features that allow connection to share updates with friends in the game. You will also get a lot of exciting content in The Sims 3 Katy Perry Sweet Temptation and The Sims 3 Diesel Accessories. As you can figuraros, updates are complex and play a key role in the process of testing and engineering, since each change has to work with all variations of the products of The Sims 3. We have a team of dedicated quality control that leaves the skin to prove efficiency and accuracy by identifying, understanding and implementing all necessary in these updates.
Since we launched The Sims 3, we put at your disposal more than two dozen updates with the latest bug fixes, patches and modifications. Oh really? So why’s the lighting still broken then since 2009, and why do I have to (or rather, did because I’ve stopped playing this bugridden crapfest) go to sites like NRaas and MATY to get real bugfixes?
Oh, and why are we being served up shit like Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats and blatant paid-for advertising packs like Diesel?
To be brutally honest,
What a load of crap and bullshit! Those patches that they speak off only fix a whole pile of little minor problems, there are computers out there that a cracked and totally bug ridden. Quality control is at its all time low – The Sims 2 team did it better than The Sims 3 team. Lift your game and start fixing the major problems that is needed
“We have launched new content for The Sims 3 franchise to make it fun for everyone”
usualy for 5$ a piece or the whole set for $30 at the EA store.
He can shoot himself…. Ugh I’d rather play Sims 1 than this crappy full of bugs so called game.
A move in good faith would mean fixing some of these major legacy issue since base Sims 3. Maybe start by putting in a fail safe so bad routing no longer tanks our games performance no matter how good our computers are.
I swear I can run some of the best games out there on the market smoothly but the poorly programmed mess that is the Sims 3 refuse to cooperate.
Then go look over the stuff that NRASS and MATY fixes and possibly make some aspect of those mods obsolete.
Hey Graham,
Your game killed my motherboard again. Three times. If I could sue you, I would.
Love, (not)
Pissed off customer.
Sims 2 was much buggier than Sims 3. I am still trying to find hacks to fix some of the bugs from that game. Hind sight is 20/20. Sims 2 doesn’t have a chance to get the left over bugs fixed. At least, with Sims 3, we still have a chance for it being fixed. I adore Sims 2 and play it almost every day, but that game is as infuriating as Sims 3, if not more.
“The launch of The Sims 3 Dreamz”
Since I’m guessing this has been GoogleTranslated, does he mean “The Sims 3 Showtime”?
lol! Well said! 🙂
Could it not be possible to make the game’s coding very simple for them to even fix it?….Or game’s engine has to be complicated on purpose? Is it possible ofmaking a game’s engine or coding simple so even the developers and coders can simply find bugs? Over 2 dozens patches already?! Yet Overwatch saves my sims demise of Error code 16 and bad routing in Bridgeport!
Graham doesn’t make the game he’s just the one of the producers.
Like when in build/buy mode and you click the left or right arrow too fast and the left button never gets you back to the first page of items. At least with the Sims 3 the amount of bugs or glitches seems to change depending on your PC. Although there are some that are obvious programmer error. Like broken roads or the boots from Barnacle Bay showing up under swimwear. Of course, the lighting is more of an annoyance that something that causes bad gameplay.
In a lot of countries/regions, they usually change the name of an add-on for one reason or another. In one country, Fast Lane Stuff was called Fast Fart. XD
It’s even funnier than that, it’s “Full Fart!” LOL, kind of ironic because I really like that stuff pack.
But yeah, what was the point of that blog post? It’s not really any different than the generic damage control stuff he posts on the forums. At this point I’m just thinking that if they really listened to the fans we wouldn’t still be begging for seasons, open restaurants, university, and true OFB-style businesses. If EA only gave us these things first I wouldn’t be complaining so much about all the branded and celebrity crap they’re throwing at us now. Pets was really great but man things are even worse than before Generations was announced.
There are so many questions here.
