Check out this 2-part blog by Graham Nardone. He talks about this, that and everything in between. He even talks about the upcoming Social Features with Showtime.
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Graham Nardone, and I’ve been a producer on every expansion and stuff pack released for The Sims 3 so far. I’ve had the privilege of traveling across the globe to meet many members of our community. We’ve chatted and shared a few laughs, but most importantly I’ve had the honor of listening to what many of you have to say about The Sims.
Does The Sims community have a say?
We want you to know that we take all of your feedback very seriously. We read our forums, fan sites, Facebook posts, tweets and take all of that information into consideration when planning the development of games and content for The Sims games. Our goal is to provide fans of The Sims with the content and experiences they want and keep the variety fresh and affordable.

*yawn* Looks like they are trying to sprinkle drizzle on the massive fire they have created to dampen the rage we all have. Don’t buy the BS. Keep on full steam ahead as it’s apparent the suits at EA are watching.
I don’t get it…achivements….so thats what made Sims FAIL….I thought the sims series has always *suppose* to be a sandbox.
Yeah it’s funny how we got this soon after the boycot getting more and more attention and followers.
“Does The Sims community have a say?”
My initial reaction ” No”
They are most likely bullshitting, to make us feel good, they noticed people are trying to boycott, so they think “Ok, let’s compliment the users”
Do they actually say something worthwhile, and not “that they listen to the community”
If they don’t mention anything about Store, Patches, or Expansion packs. They’re bullshiting.
I’m glad they are at least aware of the unrest that has been occurring in the Sims community.
They don’t listen to the community. If they did, we’d have Seasons by now.
Not to mention that even the most basic of bugs – the broken lighting and the running-everywhere bug introduced by Ambitions would have been fixed by now too.
When a fan tells EA “fix this!”, it seems that the Sims Team interpret it as “we want more overpriced tat in the Store!”
*happy dance* Someone did pay attetion, holy sh*t!… Then they NEED to listen better, of course, some ppl actually like what EA’s doing & the social features…still *happy dance* Pour on the pain…. BTW, I really didn’t think they’d notice the boycott so I am deliriously happy (sleep deprived too) & shocked, really shocked….
It appears their arrogance and distance from the people who pay their wages may have finally caught up with them.
