A new patch has been unleashed upon the Sims community. Do you dare download it and see what awaits, or are you pleased that you have a working game as of now? Like with any patch, there is no telling what will happen, so have your game discs ready and be prepared for anything. Hopefully it’s a smooth transition and when all said and done, the bugs will be eliminated.

Note – Make sure you backup your data and download the appropriate ones that your game requires (and to update the base game. I am not good at troubleshooting these patches, so by all means, please use the launcher and have it update for you if possible.

It’s gonna let me play again? YAY!
I’m guessing it’s not just updating two things right….
What is the main point in this update? Will it actually improve game-play (fix bugs) or will it simply bring things up-to-date to make other games Outdoor Living stuff compatible?
Does this one fixes misserable bug with cheap beds, or we still must wait for that?
It makes the game playable again. People who recently installed late night have been experiencing bugs where the game wouldn’t let them play. This patch fixes that. And what cheap bed bug?

After sims sleeping in beds gets fully rested moodlet, their mood goes low and stay miserable, all the gaming time…

I don’t know why people get this error – its coming from the official Sims 3 site, if you are downloading it from there, I cannot fix any problems that it may produce while trying to download/install 🙁
john, I have had problems with the Ambitions patches as well! Try the Cumulative Update Patch…this seems to work for me!

Hey ! For the CAW there is a new update (ver 1.11.4) on the official website. I’ve tested it and it works with the Outdoor Living Stuff and the latest update !

How do you install the patch?
i only updated my current game. have all Sims 3 games through Late Night. gonna wait to get OLS. but after the update i noticed a new glitch. my sim will always use a taxi when going to another lot and never uses his vehicle. also Jud EA Posts $322 Million Loss For Q3 2011.

my connection was interupted before this update could finish, does anyone know if ea has this latest update up for download yet? ive been searching but all I can find is info on it. If anyone has a link i know many would apperciate it.
I tried to install this patch, but when I did it caused the game to not work at all, saying that the base game it is not compatible with the latest expansion pack, so now I’m uninstalling and re-installing the game again.

Never mind, I got it working now. I just updated the base game with the latest patch.
So, another useless update then. Broken lighting, running bug, “well rested” mood tanking bug to name but a few. None of them fixed.
I don’t know if its this update or any of the mods or custom content, but mine won’t even start. it comes up with a blank black screen with a windows 7 waiting mouse cursor. Nothing happens if I CTRL-ESC, and re-enter, and when i try to download content from the store the little bar in the seperate window gets stuck as soon as it appears. I have the expansion packs World Adv. Late night, ambitions, fast lane stuff and high end loft stuff.
What should i do?

Probably just my computer, but I’m trying to find a patch that will let me uninstall generations. I had to get 1.22.9 just to get the base game to properly uninstall. but the newest patch messed with generations. Has anyone found a solution? Tech support insisted I wasn’t deleting files correctly, but automatch and manual uninstalls are not working.
