AussieGamer (as well as SimFans) brings us 7 new pics from The Sims 3 for the Nintendo 3DS due out in March of 2011.
Fans of the series will be familiar with the interface – issuing specific orders to your Sims based off their needs, which is displayed via a “Moodlet” icon. Such needs range from “I need to use the bathroom” to “I’m hungry” and even “I’m bored”.
New to the series is the “karma” system. This can drastically change the game for the better, or for the worse. One example shown was shaking the Nintendo 3DS a little makes money fall from the sky. If, however, you shake the console too much a devastating earthquake will all but ruin your Sims lives!
Using the Nintendo 3DS camera, sim making is easy. The software is similar to the “Mii Creation” app on the device – simply take a picture of yourself and the game makes a Sim character that looks just like you.

wish i owned a N3DS then i could capture a pic of my enemies and make a sim of them and torture them hahaha
a good way to remove anger by actually not hurting them! 😀
Why cant they prodicenthis level of game on iOS? The engine is certainly powerful enough…
I’m sure they can, but then again that would be handled by EA Mobile. I wonder if the 3DS game is developed in-house or contracted to a smaller studio.
i knooow,
i wish they would create an ipad app JUST for the ipad, thats the sims 3…that looks just like the one on PS3 or even wii i would be happy with! Its just sooo unfair! lol.
This is Sims 2 for 3DS but with upped graphics and Sims 3-styled UI.

I hope this statement is as easy and as wonderful as it sounds. Then watch this game and the 3ds sell like water on the beach, and also as a new fever into the hands of Hollywood and Disney celebrities alike!
This alone is the sole reason I will get my hands on the 3Ds
