It’s not a lifestyle that I’d want to be a part of, but I can respect those who choose it. Figured I’d go ahead and post this as some visitors may want to see it. The Sims 3 is talked about near the end of the video.
(caution – adult subject matter, nothing over the top but some foul language and action)
Haha. I wouldn’t call it a ‘lifestyle’, and I don’t think anyone would choose it if they had the choice, but we get what you mean, Jud. ;P
Ugh. Okay. I’ve actually watched it now, and the whole thing is creepy and sleazy. And WHY THE HELL does the host seem to think it’s cool to champion unprotected sex. What a creep. :/
Umm, as Jud pointed out, it’s a *satire*.
lulz! 😆
Just to add my thoughts…I play/have played quite a few of the games mentioned (well, the later ones), and having more sex/romance “options” make the games much more enjoyable for me!
Yeah I wouldn’t call it a lifestyle either. No one chooses to be gay just like no one chooses to be straight. You just are who you are, can’t help that.
Funny vid though haha, slightly random though but I guess it’s actually somewhat true lol
Sorry, I don’t know if it’s a choice or part of them from birth. I never really questioned about it to be honest.
Jud, I know you meant no harm, but I’m surprised you’re not more informed of the subject considering all the information that is widely available. Homosexuals do not choose this so-called “lifestyle”. It’s not a choice for them, they are born with it just like how you were born having an innate attraction to women.
Tea and blues: you sound very ignorant, not to mention the fact that you don’t know what “satire” means. I am sure though you’re idiot comments about gays were only following judhudson’s foot steps.
Judhudson: your comments about it being a choice show how little you know about homosexuality. It’s sad there are people like you still out there.
I honestly don’t care one way if it is a choice or if its by default. If someone is gay, then they are gay. They’re just a person to me, regardless what anyone else may think on my choice of wording the post.
I second what Angie said.
ok, homosexuality isn’t a choice/lifestyle, you’re born with it because of the hormonal chemicals in your brain which make you attracted to the same sex.
I wish more people knew about this, especially in this day and age, oh well.
If it was a choice, many people wouldn’t choose it because of the discrimination and hate, it’s quite sad that people are so ignorant and make fun of homosexuals because of something they were born with, for example “Tea and blues” saying it was ‘sleazy’ and ‘creepy’.
I know you probably had wrong choice of wording, but in the future, you should look at it that way so you won’t get people thinking the wrong impression. (:
God, if I could choose, then I’d feel a hell of a lot happier.
It’s definitely not a choice (trust me, I would know) but you have to understand that Jud comes from a very small town, so I’m sure it’s very different from a diverse city and the gays there are most likely in the closet. I am sure that he meant no harm and he even explained himself. I hope that this doesn’t turn into a huge debate. The video is just satire, anyway (it’s way too stereotypical to be taken seriously). I apologize on behalf of SimPrograms if there was any offense. We welcome all types of people at this site and we don’t want anyone feeling discriminated against since we all come here for one main purpose: our interest in The Sims. Thank you! 🙂
Okay, after taking the various comments into consideration and educating myself on this subject, let me apologize for my lack of knowledge and poor choice of wording. I don’t know much about this subject because I do not know of anyone personally to speak of the matter. Also, keep in mind I’m from the South, the sterotypical uneducated redneck raised in the bible belt and schooled on the praises of Fox News (thats sarcasm by the way – but for the most part those are the people I know 🙁
Yeah, weren’t angry or anything at ya Jud, just pointing it out 🙂
Don’t feel bad Jud, It’s okay to not know. As you were raised differently, I guess everyone is raised differently and then there is our personality and true nature, but still, it’s good to know about a lot of things. Wisdom is to some a choice…
And that video is so funny! It’s really nice that people are realizing that we’re all the same, even if we’re so very different. One love.
🙂
Jud, don’t take it so hard. Most of us knew you had no malicious intent. I wasn’t trying to attack you, I was just surprised. I want to note though, that it DOES matter whether it is a choice or not. Yes, a person is gay and s/he’s just a person to you. But it is an integral part of said person. There is a difference between not judging someone by their biology and shutting your mind from understanding that someone.
It’s just like saying, “I don’t care that you are black, you are just a person to me. Choosing to be black is not a lifestyle I want to be part of, but I respect those who choose to be black.” When I put it in this context, do you see the small but very important difference between not judging and seeming ignorant?
Again, don’t take it so hard. You seem to be a good person. But it’s something important to think about.
Firstly. I’m gay. Secondly. The fact that it was (bad) satire does not make that video above less sleazy in any way.
It was sleazy, true, but it was meant to be stereotypical as part of the satire factor. The tone of the entire video proves that. Personally, it never even dawned on me that the two main characters of Nintendo’s “Contra” could resemble lovers when running together across the screen, lol. That was just hilarious because I used to love that game and I beat it several times, too (no pun intended). It was a very good game and I’d love to have it on my PC since I don’t own a console (I’m not much of a gamer).
Coming out-announcing you’re gay… dating/having relations w/ same sex—absolutely a LIFESTYLE.
Lifestyle- the habits, attitudes, tastes, moral standards, economic level, etc., that together constitute the mode of living of an individual or group.
@lilone
In that sense I guess you could say it is a lifestyle, but it’s in no way a choice. You don’t wake up one day and decide you’re going to be gay for the rest of your life. It’s not like you say to yourself “You know, being gay sounds fun, I wouldn’t mind being a part of that crowd”. People don’t choose to be gay, they just are.
By lilone’s definition, eating, breathing, and going to the loo is a lifestyle too. Those are not necessities!
@lilone, like Chris said, it may be a lifestyle, but it’s definitely not a choice (I sure know I’d rather choose to be straight seeing how some people – with this I don’t mean anyone here! – act towards gay people).
And to go back on-topic, the video’s kinda funny to watch, but really shouldn’t be taken so seriously 😀
[comment…] Fully responsible?Creator of every siotutian? Come on, I have family members in Nigeria and they all struggle with inflation, water shortage, robbery, lead poisoning, extremists burning their houses down in the name of religion It is NOT THEIR FAULT. Life can be a hard test and then we die. We have to better this place called earth TOGETHER, not individually by meditating ( aum it’s all good ) in our nice 1st world homes. Okay, I know you mean well. I wish you the Creators best blessings.
