I’ve already added the link a couple days ago to the Sims 3 system requirements page, but for those who are unaware, the System Requirements Lab has added The Sims 3 to the list. Some users have reported it’s a bit wonky right now, but for the most part, it does pretty well and should help simmers out who would like to see if their machines are capable.
In other news, MaxisDrea has posted a note at the official Sims 2 BBS that they will be revising the System Requirements for The Sims 3 sometime next week. We don’t know if they plan to give us more details on the minimum requirements or if they plan to post the recommend requirements. Hopefully both!

That’s actually a pretty good website to check your computer specs and see if you can run a specified game, although it is not 100% accurate!
My laptop failed, but it runs all other games [which fail] perfectly, so no worries
