EA’s fiscal second quarter revenues are in and it’s not looking good for employees of the giant corporation.  While they gained a 33% increase in revenues compared to last year ($864 Million, $650 Million) there took a huge chunk of losses which reached $310 Million (from last year’s $150 Million).

So, in order to correct these losses, EA plans to reduce their costs by cutting 6% of their staff, which rounds to about 600 people.  They aren’t looking at any studios in particular, anybody can receive the pink slip.  It’s not a good time to be working for EA at the moment.

At least Spore players may get their wish to see Chris Hecker get the boot (I doubt it, but you never know).

Good news though, during the press conference EA stated that Spore has just about hit the 2 million mark.
