Cuss words aside, this was a good review – but perhaps only because I’d read so many others and this one sums them up in record time.
What I’d really like (especially from your blog) are reviews by YOU. You seem to enjoy playing sim games, but in the time that I have subscribed to this blog, I haven’t seen much of a review by you. How do YOU feel about spore? And what about the Sims 2? The Sims 3? And the expansions? Which would you recommend?
The review I think that I have gotten is for The Sims 2 Store, which wasn’t really a review so much as a direct statement of distaste for that particular gaming enterprise (from a financial standpoint).
Heh. The main reason why I don’t write reviews is because my writing is that of a 4th grader. I never was a fan of the English class when I was a kid (but for some reason I passed with excellent grades). I have no idea where my writing skills went to after high school.
I’ll probably consider writing reviews sometime in the future. Probably start with the console games first as they are the easiest to deal with and work my way up from there. I’m interest in trying out MySims Kingdom for the Wii, as well as MySims for the PC. Hopefully I can review those two 🙂
Thanks for responding. I don’t expect fancy, wordy reviews. In fact, I don’t think that your readers would want them. But perhaps reviews like “Best 5 and Worst 5 things about” could be done point form, but still let your readers know how a sim program expert feels about a new sim game (rather than relying on the reviews of gaming magazines that are populated by people who think that GTA is the greatest series on the planet).

That is a great idea…I think I can pull that off 🙂 Thanks for the tip. I’ll remember to do that when I write a review.
