It’s always fun to take a look back in time and relive some of the AweSim moments of The Sims’ history – so that’s exactly what we are going to do today!

This Sunday, we are going all the way back to 2005 when The Sims 2 had been out for just under a year and its SECOND expansion pack was on the way. That’s right, we’re talking about The Sims 2 Nightlife.

Hot on the tail of The Sims 2 University, an expansion theme many Sims 4 players are currently requesting, Nightlife brought a brand new downtown world for Sims to explore and enjoy a night out.

Your Sims could dress up in all new clothing items in CAS, visit or live in the downtown area full of exciting venues – from restaurants to bowling alleys – with their friends or for a hot date. And, not only that, there were plenty of new activities including karaoke, the photo booth, and your Sims could finally own cars for the first time!

I can clearly remember installing Nightlife for the first time and buying the bright yellow sports car for all of my Sims, and occasionally recolouring it with a flame design. It was probably one of my favourite expansions for The Sims 2 not only for the gameplay, but the awesome remixes found in the soundtrack.
