The biggest update in a long time has arrived for The Sims Mobile this evening with the brand new Fashionista Game Update! This huge update boasts lots of new items and gameplay for you to sink your teeth into and we’re super excited to take a look and start digging in!

So, you’re probably asking what’s new. Let’s take a look – with both patch notes and videos!

Create-A-Sim 2.0

A complete overhaul has been made to CAS in The Sims Mobile, changing the way that you shop for items and style your Sims. You can bow look at fashion items by brand, browse a full screen catalogue and dress your Sims from a dedicated closet.

In addition to this, you can also access CAS directly from the main game.

Makeovers

You can now customise TODDLERS, children and adults who are a part of your household. But that’s not all – you can also give makeovers to all of the Sims around town in your game!

Heirloom tickets have been rebranded as Life Tickets and you will use these to ‘pay’ for making over your Sim. But if you purchase a new item in CAS, then this waives the ‘fee’.

Birthdays and Household Management

More control has been given over how you can control family dynamics. Offspring no longer grow older automatically and you choose when they grow up once they are old enough. Elders will also no longer move out without your approval.

This will greatly reduce the change of accidental birthdays and retirements – and let’s face it, we’ve all accidentally retired a Sim without meaning to!

You can also have multiple babies in the household at a time, and you can remove any Sims if your household gets a bit too full. Some very nice improvements there!

Stylist Story

A new Stylist Story called “A Cut Above” has been added to the game which takes your Sims through the experience of being a stylist.

In order to do this, your Sims will need to complete another story called the “Trending Now” fashion story, which is available in the Fashion Studio in Market Square.

Simply purchase the stylist chair at the venue to begin! There is also a companion quest to earn some special items.

AND! In addition to all of this good stuff there have also been some tweaks to the pacing and interface of stories and relationships, so that progress is clearer, as well as some various bug fixes.

What are your thoughts of this huge update for The Sims Mobile? Personally, I think this is going to be well received and was a much-needed update for the game. Hopefully buy/build mode and inventory management are next on the list because they are one of my main frustrations when playing the game.
